Protestors Fed Up W/Homeless at Mayor Garcetti's Home, "TIME FOR HIM, BUSCAINO" To Go!!!
We're done. About 40 residents of the city of Los Angeles took to the streets of Hancock Park this afternoon to protest the infestation that has become Los Angeles.
What is that?
The increase in homelessness in the city. And today that protest took place outside of the home or mansion of Los Angeles City Mayor Eric Garcetti. LAPD was in full force this afternoon as residents from Los Angeles and the 15th City Council District of Councilmember Joe Buscaino protested the lack of action to address the problem by both elected leaders.
It was not pretty.
Residents called for the resignation of both Mayor Eric Garcetti, citing his ambitions of becoming President of the United States over the homeless issue that has increased massively under his watch.
In addition Councilmember Joe Buscaino, facing his own mounting problems with the homeless issue in his district especially from the residents near Lomita and Figueroa, has been asked to resign his Council post.
Both Mayor Garcetti and Councilmember Joe Buscaino have made their focus on the homeless problem a priority and protestors see them both looking to capitalize on personal goals rather than address the problem. In fact Councilmember Joe Buscaino has been under attack for diverting $40,000 of Gang Alternatives Program funding to his personal activities in San Pedro.
Listen to the complaints of one Los Angeles resident commenting on the issues ignored by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and Councilmember Joe Buscaino.
